Rendering courses in Scotland

Hello everyone,

I've bought a house that needs renovating and I'm planning to do it myself so no doubt I'll have a million bad questions over the coming months however here's my first one:

The job that needs doing on my house first is the replacement of all the old render, it's really bad looking and some of it looks ready to fall off anyway.

My brother will be the lead on the job with me helping. He's a plasterer with 18 months experience.

Does anyone know of a rendering course in Scotland which he can attend before we have a go at the job? We don't want to do it without some form of instruction beforehand.

I've been looking into attending some courses at able skills in Dartford because I live down that way, is there any school like that in Scotland? I can't find anything!

Never heard of any around here Gary! why not hire a tradesman for a couple of shifts to show your brother the ropes.

Thanks for the reply, I did think about that. It may be the way ahead. Otherwise I think I'll do a rendering course down here in England with his skills as a plasterer and me being taught the theory we should be able to bungle our way through it!
