Rendering Extension - Planning Permission Required?

I was wondering if rendering an ugly brick extension and painting would require planning permission. I assume it would but wasn't sure.

unlikely, unless you live in a conservation area.

you generally require pp for just about everything in a conservation area, even to fart.
