rendering gravel boards

money was good in the early nineties, trouble was when you use seka its usually on high rise an your a e is hanging out of a cradle

thanks all for your input but i have a few queries

wont adding a membrane to the front be pointless as fixing the mesh will by pass this layer though fixing holes, also should i level the surface and then add the mesh or vice versa

i think ill add coping using angle iron fixed to both but should i also add metal between each board to prevent movement/ cracking or will the mesh do this, i'll add weep holes using an old socket cutter

it's just easier to do this is i can do it propally to last than it is to remove and replace since posts are 3 ft into ground and i can render in 2 days but foundations and bricking will take a week sice drying time is needed

i think the membrane plan was to mainly stop the render sticking to the timber and then being forced to break away when the wood expands and contracts, as it does. Although i could well be wrong.

Sorry all, I thought we were talking about concrete gravel boards, not timber
