Hi,

This has kind of been asked before.

But i want a nice hard wall for hanging kitchen cupboards off etc. so was thinking internal render, with a multifiish skim.

The base is high density concrete blocks.

Is a 12mm 4:1 scratch coat with a bit of waterproofer ok for a base coat to be skimmed over?

Do you need plasticiser as well?

Was thinking doorstops and a straight edge would act as a nice guide.

Also what kind of coverage do you get out of 2 bags of sand and half a cement.

I also have a load of kiln dried sand left over from a drive, can i chuck that in to use a bit of it up?

sorry for all the questions.

Cheers

As you should be fixing the cabinets to the blockwork and not the plaster I can't really see that whatever you use would make much difference to be honest.

I agree i will be fixing to the block, but still would preffer to render, is what i suggest reasonable?

Cheers
