Renewing sealant in shower tray

Hi, we've got a slight leak from our shower so am in the middle of replacing the sealant and hoping that will do the trick.

I've removed the old sealant and am now left with a 3mm gap between the tray and bottom of the tiles. Should I fill this with grout and silicone over that or should it be left empty and the silicone will fill the void?
