I was wondering whether it is a difficult DIY job to repaint the door pillars (see pic). After I hosed them with water the paint has been coming off.
Presumably I need to remove the old paint first (how?) and then get special weather resistant paint?
If it's too difficult I will get a professional but thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks

They look like glass fibre pillars - you need to remove the loose paint with "sandpaper " probably wet=dry paper used wet - feather the edges into the sound paint and leave sound paint alone, just key it to remove any shine . Wear a mask as well - Because if you go into the glassfibre too much you can release resin dust or even particles of the fibres of glass. The pillars would have been better not painted and just cleaned and even polished with car polish , but you're stuck with painting now.:notworthy: I'll let others suggest the best paint as I'm not sure on that.
