Repair and repoint lead flashing to chimney stack

Ive been told I need to have the lead flashing to my chimney repaired and repointed. It is a victorian mid terrace house.

Does anyone know roughly what this will cost or if it is possible for someone with some DIY skill to do this job themselves?
