It never rains does it. Lol.

So as part of my project to insulate the floor. I got down as low as the cellar cieling. 200mm approx.

Just as I’m ready to do the sand blinding, a section of the cellar roof gave way. See pics. This section was 2 1/4” thick. All the other sections are 3 1/2” thick.

To repair it, I plan to drill holes along either side of the opening and insert rebar secured with chem fix. Then shutter from below with ply and pour in some concrete. I can’t think of a better way but would take suggestions.

I’m also worried about the other slabs now I presume the stone flags and screen Covering them Before I removed were spreading the load out.

I'd just replace with a few concrete lintels and screed/concrete over.

good idea I , ill have to knock a few stones out for that. Ill see what length lintels I can get. Would you do the same for the others or was I just unlucky with that thin one?

I've got a similar coal cellar in a house I own, I can't see the flags ever cracking so hopefully just a one off.
