Repair Plaster Board Wall

Hi All
i have fitted a cooker hood and now i need to repair the wall and ceiling
around the chimney.

Any ideas as the chimney is quite flexible and the boxing and ceiling have cavity's behind.

How can i repair these gaps to get a good finish that want crack and fall out?
