Leaking copper pipe as it bring water from mains into house in cellar
To repair
1.is it safe to remove bricks pipe goes through - the wall there is holding back soil in basement at front of house ?

2.Necessary to dig up the front path to the individual mains connection just outside property boundaries?

3)Are there any new regulations about replacement pipes - Originally Victorian updated in the 60s - not sure yet if lead or plastic connection from mains

Advice very much appreciated asap
Cheers

your post bit short on words

do you mean can see water leak and is just inside/outside brick house wall?

if not need dig up ground outside house expose pipe

if victorian house probable old stopcock in pit just inside boundary where gate used be, might be covered over or full of earth

if you think there are any lead pipes remaining, ask your water co to come and test at kitchen tap for lead traces in drinking water. If so they will help by subsidy and/or laying new pipe. It will be much easier for you to join onto their new pipe so ask them straight away, as they may take weeks to make an appointment. Also ask them if they offer a grant towards repairing a leaking supply pipe, and ask them for an application form.

You are not allowed to dig up the pavement. The water co can. They will do it free if they are replacing lead pipe or repairing a leak outside your boundary, but will charge you £00s to make a connection otherwise
