The bath has been leaking and the plasterboard below is sagging. The ceiling is artexed and I don't fancy trying to match the surface.

Should I steam off the artex and just replace the damaged boards?

What are the chances of getting a decent surface that way or should I just replace it all?

after all the tips i got about removing ceiling boards and having done it, i dont think its that difficult a job to do

how old's the artex, some done in th 70's/80,s contain asbestos.
You could consider, screwing the board back up, if it's not damaged and just sagging and the then skim the whole ceiling as artex is very hard to match up. the ceiling will need preping first.
