Replace bulb in Bosch oven

the bulb has failed in my oven and I cannot get the cover off! My handbook simply says "unscrew the glass cover by turning it anti-clockwise " well I've tried that, and it unscrews about a half inch and that's it. Surely it can't be this difficult to do, I don't want to break it. Any suggestions please? It's about 6 years old.

Some have a bayonet fixing. Try turning the cover as far as it will go and then pulling it off.

You are fortunate. The instruction for changing the bulb in my oven says call an engineer. The oven has to be stripped down and the bulb removed from the rear apparently.
