Hi,

The old toilet flush handle (Armitage Shanks brand) was moving too much, even after tightening the back nut.

So I put a new ceramic handle on which has a straight not cranked plastic piece that attaches to the flush.

All connected and working but there is a lot of play left, right, up, down on the handle. I had to put the black washer on between old handle and cistern due to the two rubbing together.

The back nut is tight.. is there a way to reduce the play in the handle, have I done anything wrong? Thanks in advance.

You need a bush to take up the play between the spindle and hole in the cistern, at a push wind adhesive tape around the spindle to take up the slack.
