replaceing damaged floorboards

hi

have to replace damaged floorboards 8ft and 5 ft lengths non standard size (t & g) . Timber yard able to machine suitable lengths/sizes (par ? )
and these are to screwed down .Any advice on screws sizes types and how many per length.

Inch and a half eights are best. One each side of the board for each joist they pass over. I use a drill bit that countersinks at the same time.

thankyou joe-90 and splinter .

Found a box of 2'' eights closest to recommended and used countersunk drill bit ( good tip) . I will try every other joist and ends of boards if i need to do this again ( every joist is very very secure ;) ).

As a rule, 1/3 thickness of timber then 2/3 into fixing.

e.g 10mm timber need 30mm length nail etc
