The Texecom range are good value and reliable. I'd go with whichever suits your needs.

Castle Caretech do a euro mini which is a 10 zone eol or 9 zone and tamper with a lcd remote keypad about £15 more than a Texecom Veritas R8 (8 zones and tamper) which only has a led keypad. Both are good control units (we use them both). Texecom is easier to programme !

As long as it is the Veritas R8plus, not the bog standard Veritas R8. The Veritas Excel comes with an LCD keypad as standard.

IIRC, the R8+ is only a couple of quid more than the standard R8.
