I'm looking to replace our old boiler which is a Potterton Neataheat 10-16.

I've looked at the Potterton Suprima HE range but read some bad reviews especially about the PCB's.

Are these boilers now any more reliable or can anyone recommend another make.

I have a traditional tank, cylinder and wall mounted gas boiler system and all I know is I must now fit a condensing boiler.

I like Valliant .

Good reputation and I have one,and am pleased so far with no problems. :D

Potty sold the Suprima for several years with a PCB which often failed.

About a year ago the PCB was redesigned and sold at an increased price.

One assumes the new PCB has been used in the HE version and one hopes its more reliable but its too new for us to form an opinion yet.

This new model is based on the old boiler with a secondary heat exchanger. Apart from the PCB the old one was pretty reliable and one hopes the new one will be as well.

There are more modern designs with premix burners and single heat exchangers. They are slightly more efficient but one wonders how reliable they may be in the medium term.
