Replacement for Powermax 185‏

We have a powermax 185 in our flat and looking to replace it. Its a 3 bed 2 bath flat and boiler is providing central heating & hot water. HW Flow rate is very good. Its located in a cupboard in the middle of the flat.

Anyone recommend a gas boiler with equivalent capacity / capability to be a like for like or improvement on the current boiler.

The problem you have is with the flueing!

You need to choose a gas reg installer and ask him to look at it and advise on a suitable replacement.

You will of course need a condensate drain or a pump and route to a drain!

The Vitodens 222 is a good replacement.

There was also a GlowWorm equivalent on ebay last week for a starting price of £300 which may not have been sold.

The problem you have is with the flueing!

If you mean the flueing of the existing boiler then yes that is the main reason for the replacement. The flue for the new boiler will be routed differently to enable provision of an access panel.

There is a outlet for washing machine drain in the same cupboard. Can the drain for the boiler feed into that outlet as well ?
