I'm in the final stages of my parquet floor restoration and have replaced about a dozen completely split and ruined blocks, or rather layers since they're only about 5mm thick. Because the floor had been so badly cared for and sanded in the past there are differences in height such that some of my new blocks stand pround by about but no more than 1.5mm.
I wanted to take the easy option prior to applying a hardwax oil and simply use a trio sander to tidy everything up. Would anyone know whether this can be used over the whole floor bringing the raised blocks down to floor level or do I need to deal with those first using, say, an edging sander. Because of the thinness of the blocks I want to go really easy on the sanding.
