Hi all,

I'm currently living out in France.

I'm restoring an old window in the kitchen, stripping the paint and replacing putty. I couldn't get the old glass out without breaking it - but think it must be extremely fragile perhaps, original 100 years old?!

So, I need to buy need new replacement glass. Single glazed, 3mm thick (I guess) about 40cm squared. 6 panes.

Just popped to a local DIY shop who quoted me €60 (£40) for the glass (not fitted).

How does this sound by UK standards? I thought this sounded on the pricey side. I'll do some shopping around soon, but my French isn't too good at the mo!

Thanks in advance,
Scott
