Hello,

I'm looking to replace (cheaply!!) a rotting wooden window frame in my garage. I believe it's pine. It's one that opens at the top.

I've tried looking in B&Q etc but can only find PVC ones. They sell good external wooden doors but no window equivalent.

Can someone please advise where I can find a good wooden window frame - NOT double glazed - at a good non rip off price.

I can assemble one if its in kit form but I'm not sure if I can make the pieces myself (would need guidance).

thanks
Brian

the most likely outcome is to but a smaller window and fill in the gaps with wood/brick
or have on made at a cost

you can buy pre profiled timber lengths but you need good accurate wood working skills and around £100 worth off basic tools[gouges /mortice chisel /chisels etc]
