Hi we have an old Potterton Kingfisher 2 CF100. We are looking to replace it - not because it is not working but because it's probably 30+ years old and almost certainly nearing the end of its life. Moving the boiler location would be a huge job.
This is obviously an open flue boiler and I'm told that "open flued boilers aren't fitted any more because they're not efficient enough for the regs'. So there needs to be a condensate drain. However, the bad news is that the boiler is nowhere near a drain and therefore draining condensate would involve digging up the tiled floor.
Anyone aware of any options which i could consider or is it a case of steeling myself to rip up some tiles?
Thanks
