I have just bought a house and the UPVC front door is old and pretty knackered. I'd like to replace it, possibly with a composite. I have done upvc windows wood-UPVC so I am comfortable do do it myself. Problem is, the existing frame has windows at either side and one above.
Would I need a whole new frame and windows to boot or can I just replace the door frame? Basically what I am asking is whether they separate or if they are all part of one big frame.

Thanks

windows would probably be separate top lite is more than likely fixed to the door frame. Would need a pic

I am planning on replacing one myself, maybe, but there are some very good physical demos and how to on youtube. Anything new to me I usually have a look there.
