Hello,
I have an old ceiling extractor that has never worked. I'm assuming a straight replacement will fix the problem.

If I replace an exsiting fan do I need to notify LABC?

Thanks

As long as it is properly ventilated & the fan is faulty & not the wiring & it is connected via a triple pole isolation switch, then yes . No direct replacements are not notifiable.
