I have an ageing Drayton TA/V9 3-port valve which needs replacing.

Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement?

Would a standard Honeywell or Drayton 22mm be ok or should I go to 28mm since the old one is 1"? I can see that the pipework will need reworking as the port arrangement in the modern valves is different.

Thanks

Jez

There's not really enough information here, such as the make of boiler and how much work it has to do heating your house.

If it's a very large house with a beefy boiler it might be best to stick with 28mm.
The honeywell V4073s don't seem to differ hugely in price going from 22 to 28mm.

Its a Glowworm Ultracom 24hxi in a detached family sized home. About 15 rads in total.

You're right the prices are not that different though the Draytons are better priced than the H'wells.
