My bathroom extractor is making a right old noise in a house recently moved into so looking to get a new one.

At previous home had an extractor fan with timer when the bathroom lights was switched on. This was wired from the light ceiling rose.

Got grid switches at new place and struggling to figure if it's possible to wire a extractor fan with timer into it instead of having a separate fan switch.

If you wish to keep the switch to control the fan with timer ,you will need to run a permanent live direct to the fan ,from the current circuit.
Or do you want to abandon the fan switch ,and have it connected to the light switch ,which would turn both on ?

Get rid of the fan switch and have the fan turn on/timer from the light switch

Will stick to just a standard fan then as would have to rip the wall/ceiling apart to swap to a 3 core cable
