I have a Proline electric hob (from Comet, 18 months old) and one of the electric solid hotplates has packed up.
I can find a suitable replacement on the internet but have never taken one of these apart before - is it a straight forward job replacing these? do I have to remove the hob from the worktop to replace it or is it all done from above?

Thanks for any info

you need to take it out and flip it over, remove the base giving you access to the hotplates disconnect and replace the hotplate.its straightforward.

Thanks Stephen
It's what I feared. I have to remove the built-in oven before getting access to the clips that hold the hob in the worktop to remove it.
Thanks for the information

Take care when removing the connector from the dead hotplate, use pliers or you will need to re-crimp
