I never saw a BBU until I moved from south London to Duston, there are still loads of the buggers in Northants, fitted my first (and last probably) new one in one of the cottages at Abingdon park last year, listed building so special exemption. Thats the only other problem with being up here, no warm air qualification, still they are being ripped out even faster than the BBU's except in the eastern district.

well i can honestly say i rarely come accross them. I used to work in stevenage and that was full of em. Much less so in Northampton I find. . . .

Dangermouse 10% to baxi`s 90% countrywide is not a lot and in northants it was around 95 percent baxi prob 4% thorn housewarmers and 1 percent gloworm.

i joined them because I was 17 and they offered me an apprenticeship. I prided myself on doing the job properly and I was horrified by the lax and unsafe job done by others. Don't get me wrong-they're not all cowboys but alot of them are.

YEP blonde hair dopey guy who was field manager at northampton.

Not being funny or personall but by 96 the standard of training was very poor and at the time we where only doing about 6 jobs a day due to the systems not being able to cope.

i agree. i was sent to leeds for 2yrs as an app. I've learnt more since leaving bg than i did there!
