Replacing Oven?

We want to buy a new oven. Is it simply a matter of pulling the old one out and wiring the new one in?

Pretty much, although, I suspect there will be some screws at the front to secure it in place.

If you are replacing like with like then yes, but if not you would need to check the supply circuit rating is suitable for the new appliance.
