Quick question about polyplumb fittings :
I have removed a toilet from my house, which was fed from a pipe with polyplumb fittings. (copper comes in to the joint, and then plastic pipes feed the bathroom in the next room)
Currently, I have a polyplumb tee fitting that needs to be changed to an elbow fitting (the unwanted third pipe has been capped, but I'm trying to tidy up the room which is now a wardrobe).
It looks like I should cut the pipes and install a new polyplumb elbow, but there is an overwhelming temptation to unscrew the tee fitting and put the elbow component into the existing cap nut...
Is this something I would regret trying?
