Hi,
I am planning to replace the cartridge on a Grohe Automatic 2000, as the water is only running cold, after being intermittently hot/cold. Also, I am going to replace the pump as this is now leaking (Stuart Monsoon 36 1.2 bar).

The pump has only 1 pipe in and 1 pipe out, whereas I thought it was normal to take in hot and cold and pump out hot and cold. I don;t really understand what is going on, but I was going to replace it with a Salamander NP 55 1.6 bar pump as it too only has an in and an out!

Does this sound like a reasonalbe thing to do?

Thanks.

i take it the pump is fed from the mixer then the pump feeds the showerhead.

OK, thanks.

Is this an easy thing to do with no plumbing knowledge? The flexible hose connectors on the current pump seem to have nut-tightened connections, but the current pumps are described as having push-in connectors.
