Hi our rwb2 controller blew and we have replaced the controller with the rwb29. The back plate was identical but we had to replace it as it got damaged when the clock blew. We rewired the new backplate identically, but now we have a problem as in the hot water is not switching off its just stays on permanently.

If the damage to back plate was this extensive, what rateing of fuse 'protected' the heating system?

What boiler do you have and what controls do you have 1 or 2 motorised valves or a 3 port or none at all

hi its a very old boiler, its a glow-worm space-saver 38 balanced fuel boiler. not sure about ports and valves, sorry.

We seem to have a very similar problem while replacing RWB2 with RWB29, and found this thread in our attempts to fix it. Did you ever find a solution, and if so, please could you tell us what it was? Many thanks
