Replacing sealed units in hardwood frames

I'm looking to replace the glass double glassed units in a hardwood door,16 in total. what do I seal the glass into the frame with, is it just silicon or putty or is there something else. any advice welcome

If you check with the pepole you're buying the units from they should be able to give you the right gear you need. They will also tell you the correct way to do it.

You normally use a mastic type strip around the unit (sits between the frame and the face of the glass) and a silicone bead (between the edge of the unit and the frame). Putty is not recommended as I believe it attacks the seal of the unit.

I found it to be quite a job getting the glass to sit flush against the strip.
