Replacing some old floorboards

I need to patch up the bathroom T&G floor which has been butchered by previous tradesmen over the years both plumbing and electricians.

The boards measure 22mm thick but I can't find a supplier of finished 22mm T&G boards.

Don't really want to resort to MDF as there are only about 2 or 3 boards which need replacing the rest of the floor is good.

Any ideas?

MDF is not used, nor should it ever be used, for flooring. It is unsuitable. Flooring grade chipboard (grade P5 - moisture resistant) and WBP hardwood plywood are both available in 22mm thickness and should be ex-stock from most timber merchants. Te chipboard is nornally 2400 x 600mm T&G edge, the plywood is generally square edge

If you ask for 25mm T&G you'll find it really is 22mm once it has been planed down.

You may be able to get exact matches at the local reclaimers. Just take a sample of yours with you.

When I did mine, The new replacements look distinctly new and didnt feel half as strong as the originals.
