Hi all,

I have recently moved into a property of which its central heating has caused me no end of problems, the latest:

The central heating control programmer's Central heating control has stopped working, the hot water is fine but the central heatig wont come on, the red "on" light flickers and clicks like it is trying but it fails, I've had it off the wall and given it a once over but still won't work.

I want to replace it tomorrow but I want to know the easiest most suitable model to replace it with, any suggestions?

Thanks

James

Most 2 channel central heating controllers that allow independent control of hw and ch should be suitable. Models are priced on functions, timing options and quality. Honeywell are about the best, but plenty of cheaper brands, especially Danfoss and Drayton are fine. I wouldn't fit a Sunvic, however. Just make sure that the model you buy gives timing options that will suit you - eg. 24hr or 7 day timing.

Thank you! If I make it through the night without freezing I'm going to B&Q tomorrow, unless anyone can suggest a good deal on the high street? I.e. not online...

Thanks again
