I've decided to get a Honeywell CM67 room thermostat to control the Central Heating. This will require leaving the central heating on constant at the timer, while of course I'd like to continue to control the hot water in a timed manner at the same timer.
However my Switchmaster 400 timer (20s year old) will not allow timed water with constant heating.
It looks like the Switchmaster 805 will. So...
a) The 805 requires a fully pumped system. Since I have a Y-Plan valve I assume I must have this?
b) Will the 805 fit the 400 back plate and will any rewiring be required? I have studied the info and I think the answers are yes and yes but trivial?
c) Am I over-complicating all this and there is a simpler option?
Thanks,
Robert
