Hi,

I have bought a Meross thermostat to replace an old thermostat and wondering how best to wire it in.

The existing cable from the bolier is 3 core and earth so ideally I would like to just use that.

Can anyone tell me which wires go where please. I have attached the page from the boliers manual and the Meross instructions and a photo of the old Honeywell thermost.

Thanks

There should be a wiring diagram inside the lid of the old thermostat.

If yours is the same then:

Live : Honeywell Thermostat 1 = New Thermostat L (brown wire)
Neutral: Honeywell Thermostat 2 = New Thermostat N (grey wire with blue sleeve)
Switched Live: Honeywell Thermostat 3 = New Thermostat NO (black wire with brown sleeve)

New thermostat also requires a link between L and COM

Earth wire insulate / isolate and tuck safely out of the way, unless you are going to mount the new thermostat in a metal backbox, in which case the earth wire connects to the metal backbox.

Thank you stem. I had the same Honeywell thermostat and wired as you suggested and it worked a treat.

Thanks again, it made my day much easier.
