I know people have asked similar questions. I did do a search before I asked but nobody quite asked the same question from what I could find.
The timber frame around my metal "up and over" door is beyond rescue so needs to be replaced. I've got my measurements and I'm going to try and get it delivered one day this week
My question is how difficult is it to change the timber frame and is there anything I need to take into consideration before I start?
My main concern is the spring at the top of the door. Am I right in assuming as long as the door is in the closed position, it should stay that way even once I take the wood off from around it? Just worried about getting caught up in what is effectively a huge mouse trap.
Cheers people!
