On the gable end of the house, there is a small hole in what seems to be asbestos cement (or something similar) lying under the tile edges. (The house was built in 1963)

The cement above has obviously fallen out ... only a length of about 150mm.

How can I fill this ?

It's a bumgalow and the hole is only at a height of 10 ft. so no probems with access

thanks

If it only needs the mortar replaced then clean out the hole where it is missing and point with a 3:1 mix, sand/cement. Wet the area first or prime with PVA if you have some.

If the undercloak itself is damaged you will need to replace a section but given the age of your property the existing one may contain asbestos.
