Repointing below Damp-course

Some of the pointing below the damp-course is in need of re-pointing on the full sun side of the house. Some above too.
The house built 1982, do I use a lime or cement mix and the mortar is redish sandstone colour.
Strange as this section of wall below a 16’ window is the only wall need doing of all 4 sides.

1982 suggests it's a cavity wall so cement would be fine to point the brickwork.
