Does anyone have much experience of using a product like this for repairing pointing?

Need to repaint a house from around 1900 so mortar was probably originally lime based but is all painted over now so difficult to confirm. A few loose patches of pointing and I'm wondering if I can get away with using the product above, but don't know what longevity is like compared to sand and cement (and would it need to be lime-based anyway?). Some deep sections but don't have loads of time to go over it in layers so I'm hoping it will just cure over time!

It works, but if you have a lot of gaps to fill it might get expensive compared to just using the real thing.

I've used the stuff, only for filling drilled holes, not for pointing, it's excellent. Much better than dollopping mortar about, you can get it nice and deep as you're injecting it under pressure.

I used a squirty water spray bottle to wash out the holes first. This will clear the dust and insects. Also the filler is water based, so will probably benefit from the hole being damp, it should improve adhesion.

But pointing with it would be different. Definitely dampen it first, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. If you're painting it then its appearance won't matter.

Let it dry for weeks before painting it.
