I've just bought a new house which as double glazing that is supposed to be only 5 years old. It seems in quite good condition, but on one of the windows the seal between the window frame and the wall has either come away or was not there properly in the first place. This is causing a small amount of dampness.

I've not been able to track down the suppliers and was wondering about doing it myself.

Is it a difficult job?
Is it special sealant or just the bathroom stuff?
Do I need to do inside and out?
If so, do I need to do outside and then let the area dry for a few days so I dont trap moisture in?

Any other gotchas, or should I really call the pros in?

Thanks in advance

Will see what I can do - my PC is playing up at home though so not sure if I can get a pic off my camera.
It basically just needs sealing between the frame and the wall though.

OK.
The frame is ever so slightly loose, but only if you push it fairly hard and there is not a lot of movement.

I have also got a couple of pics but have no idea how to insert them here.

How do I do that? Unless I can insert them here I don't really have anywhere to host them.

Thanks

Very easy to do just clean off the old sealer buy a scaly gun and a tube of external sealer from any d.i.y shop only do outside

Thanks.
Why do I only do outside? It looks like it has been done inside and outside in the past.

Put some frame packing to make the frame solid then use window frame sealant on the outside and normal smooth sealant on the inside.
