OK, so the installation instructions for the 110 timeswitch are clear enough. Once done, "recommission the boiler according to the commissioning instructions". We don't have the original commissioning docs, but I've just found a manual for a current Tmax on the Web and the commissioning procedure includes things like flushing the whole heating system.
