Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advise.
Ive been restoring a 1880 mid terraced property and during some clearing out found the original brick floor in the kitchen.
I'm a huge fan of trying to use the original parts of the house if possible so wondered if it was a valid option to lift and relay the original brick work.
They are currently laid directly onto mud so there is no damp proofing, they are incredibly uneven and the entire floor slopes toward the corner of the room.
I just wondered how I would go about relaying them, what I would under the brick to firm it all up and where would I put the damp proofing.
If anyone knows how or has any tips it would be great to hear them.
