We have a Sime Friendly boiler. The only controls we have are the dials on the front of the boiler to turn the temperature down and a clock dial with 'teeth' that you push in to set the timer. We would like to get a wireless thermostat fitted but would like advice as to whether this is possible - and if it is easy to diy or more a professional job?

Yes you can fit one.

Yes it is easy DIY as long as you are comfortable and safe to wire mains and can follow simple circuit diagrams ;)

Have a look at the Honeywell CM927. I wouldn't say they are the best, but good value and easy to use ;)

Thanks for the reply - thats really helpful. If we wanted to get someone in to fit the thermostat for us does anyone have any idea how much we should expect to pay roughly?

Last one I supplied and fitted came to about £175.

Each installation could vary though.
