Hello

I've recently got a PIR floodlight and I am planning on setting it up so that the light is on all the time and goes off when the PIR detects movement. So basicly the opposite of it's function.

I was just wondering if anybody knew the best way to do this? Is it as simple as swapping something round or will I have to buy a component to go in it?

Thanks

G

I don't know if you'll find a PIR that can do that - I'd use either a relay or a contactor wired up to a PIR (separate to the floodlight, as you normally can't wire into the built in ones), which then does the switching - i.e. the normally closed terminal would be hooked up to the light, then when the PIR detects movement, relay/contactor will energise, and the light will go off...
