breezer

I have actualy now seen a rgb led light in "person" it looked good, but i wonder has any one actualy got one and if so what do you think of it and what do you actualy do with it? *

I was thinking of getting the par 56 one

I have done a search, i did fid something out but not the answer to this.

* to look directly at it does not look all that impressive, but to look at it shining on a wall does.

pleaseonly answer if you have one or actualy seen one working.

it looked similar to

but the one i saw had much bigger leds, and they were in a distinct pattern, and the picture does not do it justice or show perspective, its about the size of a dinner plate

I saw them used in a trendy wine bar conversion that i worked on once. They used big ones to light a vaulted ceiling with a module which made them sweep through the spectrum. Looked really effective. They also used smaller versions behind a glass fronted bar which did the same.
By the way the walls all had to be painted white for it to show the colours nice a bright

RGB Led lighting has come on in leaps and bounds the Led lights you are looking at are being superceded more and more by the jumbo led variants whose light output is getting pretty serious, especially in the TV lighting industry I'm getting more and more surprised with each demo we get to see exactly how far they have come from a few years back, we are now seriously looking at units to be used for key lighting something you would have laughed at a couple of years ago.
Only downside is they are still a bit expensive for the home market.

Have a look at Pulsar's or AC lighting's website for example for an insight to what is available.
