Ride on Mower repairs

Hi we have a lawnflite Mtd ride on mower that is in need of a little repair does anyone know how to repair these or know a good mower repair man around east london or west essex areas?

The problem we have is that when engaging forward it shudders outta gear and will only go forward with your arm constantly holding the forward gear in place with the leaver which kills your arm and clicks and still shudders which is probably not helping the mower.

Any help would be great.
