I've just had a Mr. Kipling individual Xmas type slice, fruit slice topped with a thick coat of icing sugar with a hint of marzipan (about 2 microns thick) sandwiched in between, I could not even spread margarine at room temperature on hot toast that thin!!

Dunno Pred,,,, But,, Walkers crisps are the best (mind you I reckon Seabrook crisps are a close second)
McCoy's - thick, with flavour.
Walkers are, to me, like McDonald's - lacking in flavour, and do not fill you up.

I bought some crisps from Lidl recently and they were quite good and reasonably priced, when I drove for Asda we would on occasion pick up a backhaul from a place in London that made Asda branded crisp, every driver who did the run never ate smart price crisps again, the factory was in our opinion filthy!!

Tesco bags of salad. So much air in them, w can't get them in the fridge.
Why do tinned hot dogs , come in a tin containing 8 hot dogs, yet the bread rolls to put them in only come in 6's ??

Todays crisps are all additives and colouring, (even if they deny it on the bag!).
Go to a crisp factory 'Goods Inward' yard and see how many drums of chemicals get delivered.

Has anyone seen the Beef and mustard ones lately? Think they were Branigans or something in a thick papery packet. Crisps were as thick as you like!
When you next eat a bag of crisps, remember that ad. about a year or so ago showing that girl drinking a bottle of cooking oil.
I must be getting old as it was longer ago than I thought!
