got in touch with the company on the wednesday,he turned round and said i hadn't been charged enough,he said price was £69 p/half hour,and when asked if he gives a approximate time on jobs for a quote he said he doesn't, yet the company advertises free quotations.Hmmmmm i smell a RAT
is it neccessary to change the micro switch when changing the flow switch?

No, but i would change it just to be certain.

Did you ask for a quote? If not the fact they advertise free quotes doesn't mean they had to give you one......
