Biasi Riva Compact HE MK2 Combi boiler, model M96A.28SM/C

The boiler was working fine, but suddenly won't stay lit – I can see through the window that it's igniting, but it goes out again after a couple of seconds. Tries again after 20 seconds or so; repeats forever. Same behaviour whether calling for heat or hot water. I've turned it off.

Have checked the pipe from the condensate trap is not blocked/full. It doesn't freeze (not cold enough here).

This happened the other day and I went through the same check, after which it wouldn't ignite at all temporarily. Jostled the pipe, turned it off and on again, then everything was back to normal. No luck this time though.

In case it's related, there's also a drip off the bottom of the DHW exchanger which has become worse lately. Only a couple of times a minute, but it mounts up.

Any help much appreciated. Central heating is not common in this part of the world and I'm not looking forward to the search for someone with the right knowledge.

Sounds like an ignition fault, which could be anywhere on the sequence. Unfortunately being gas related it's prohibited on here and other forums to give any advice, so you will have to bite the bullet and search for someone with the knowledge.

Perhaps try this
